Your First Dental Visit!
in Aventura, FL
Whether it’s your child’s very first dental visit or the start of establishing a new dental home, we’ll guide you step-by-step so you know exactly what to expect and how to prepare.

What to expect at your child’s first visit with us
At your child’s first visit, our goal is to make the experience comfortable and fun!
We’ll start by getting to know you and your child, reviewing their medical and dental history, and answering any questions you may have. A gentle exam, cleaning, and any necessary X-rays will be completed at a pace that keeps your child at ease. We focus on building trust and helping children feel safe, so each visit sets the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions we hear from parents about their child's first visit.
Parents are welcome to either join their child for their visit or wait comfortably in the lounge—based on their preference, their child’s needs, and a mutual decision with our team. Every child is unique, and this flexibility helps create the best possible experience for each visit.
We understand that life with children can be unpredictable, and sometimes delays happen. If you arrive late to an appointment, we’ll do our best to accommodate you while respecting the time of other families. Depending on how late you arrive, we may need to shorten or reschedule your child’s visit to ensure they still receive the best care in a safe, unhurried environment. We kindly ask that you call us if you know you’ll be late, so we can adjust accordingly and minimize disruption for everyone.
Please read our blogs and/or guides about x-ray and fluoride recommendations for your child. If you have any additional questions, we will be more than happy to talk to you more at your child’s appointment!
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child's first visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits help prevent cavities and build comfort with dental care.
That's completely normal. Our team is trained in child-friendly communication and positive reinforcement to create a welcoming, stress-free experience.
